Agness Twin is an American musical artist from California. Agness Twin started out in the late '90s San Francisco underground music scene. The group started out as Agness w/ Elisa Ovrahim the front woman on vocals & guitar, Vinsantos guitar & piano, Ricky Faircourt on drums, & Reid Maxwell synth/ beats. 

Agness was the twin of Elisa's mother Alice. She lived only 2 months, though her spirit inspired the bands expressive and experimental sound. Agness released their full length album "Cursed" in 2002. After leaving San Francisco to Los Angeles in 2003, Elisa continued her musical journey as the solo singer songwriter of Agness Twin.

Her self produced 2009 LP “Waiting for my Ghost" was recorded at Center of the mile recording studio deep in the heart of the Mission district in San Francisco. It's pretty w/dark distortions & haunting vocals by Elisa Ovrahim, drums by Donny Newenhouse of Film School, cello by Joyce Rooks, & piano by Vinsantos. The unique, progressive, arrangements with her custom double-neck electric 12-string/6-string guitar give off the dark imaginative, & unique sound that was coming out of the LA indie music scene at that time. 

Fresh off her performances as the guitarist/backing vocalist for Vinsantos on the Love and Rockets reunion tour of 2023. She released the latest EP "Turn to Gold" on Bandcamp that November.The EP features her elegant vocal & guitar layers w/Vinsantos on piano & vocals on "Hero", Donny Newenhouse on drums & bass, Drew Pluta on bass, & Tom Mackerness on strings & upright bass. Turn To Gold is yet another collaboration of her favorite musicians contributing to its hypnotic, genre defying sound. Available on all streaming platforms.
